Penney Mathis

Penney is one of the Founding Partners of Virtual & Onsite Accounting Services Inc. She currently functions as the Firm’s President and the Managing Director of Financial Services. Penney has over 30 years of extensive accounting and bookkeeping experience with Law Firms and Medical Practices.

Penney’s qualifications are:
Certified QuickBooks® Pro Advisor,  Certified Bookkeeper, and Certified Public Bookkeeper. In addition to her vast accounting and bookkeeping experience, Penney is also a Certified Paralegal. 

As a Staff Accountant and Firm Administrator Penney’s work within the legal industry has been varied, giving her a knowledgeable background in the unique and specialized needs of Law Firm accounting. She is also knowledgeable and well versed in the regulations and requirements that the IRS and other government agencies require of Legal Firms with regard to Trust Accounting. Keeping the firm compliant with Payroll laws and reporting helps protect your Firms reputation. 

Providing detailed and accurate financial reports will assist you in making the best decisions to strengthen the financial position of the firm. 

Penney is not ‘just an accountant’ – she has the experience and knowledge to help your firm, practice or business stay on solid ground.

 

Marvin J Johns
Marvin has over 30 years of international business experience in the areas of management, operations, process improvements, client development and customer service.

Marvin began his career path as a police officer in Ogden UT. After 8 years with the police department he served in the U.S. Army as a Pilot and Military Intelligence Officer, serving 3 years of service in Germany as a Company Commander and “Border Pilot”.

After leaving the military, Marvin worked as a Division Materials Manager and then as Chief Operations Officer for a Technical School that trained computer network engineers and computer programmers.

In 1999, Marvin began his career with American Express. During his time with American Express he held positions as the Head of Worldwide Loss Control, Director of Risk Management, Director of Strategic Operations, a Trainer in Cultural Awareness and Project Management, and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt focusing on process improvement and cost savings.

In addition to functioning as a Founding Partner with Virtual & Onsite Accounting Services and the Managing Director for Operational Services, Marvin also teaches as an Adjunct Professor at a major USA University in the area of International Business. His expertise is in business management and operations.
